Your
Coaching Session
For individuals seeking personal
or professional coaching in...
Business management,
Career, Education, Entrepreneurial pursuits, Marital goal setting,
Life & Business Organization, Ministry direction, and Parental
goal setting.
Coaches work with people
who are looking to make changes in their life. We are not therapists.
We partner with clients using assessment tools and powerful questioning
in order to support goals and solutions, and challenge the obstacles
that are preventing positive change from occurring. At LifeQuest,
the client sets the agenda. Most sessions are by telephone and the
initial sesssion is complimentary.
The Initial Coaching Session:
Before the initial session,
coaching clients will be mailed a start up packet, including personal
information fact sheet - questions about what they hope to achieve
by hiring a coach, coaching agreement and other logistical forms.
The coaching agreement and some other logistical information will
be included, as well. If you don't understand what is sent, please
call your coach for clarification. Coaching sessions are set by
the client, but usually are 30 minutes or one hour sessions.
Fees:
Payment is made in person
if coaching is face to face or monthly, if the client would like
to receive coaching via telephone or e-mail.
Subsequant sessions:
Before each session, the
client will fill out a session preparation form that helps the coach
know what the client would like to focus their attention on during
that particular session. This form will need to be e-mailed or faxed
to the coach 24 hours prior to the session.
What To Expect:
When a client begins the
coaching process, their initial sessions can be difficult. Many
people struggle to expect to reach their full potential and purpose
in life. Each session is built around achieving the client's desired
goals, dreams and purpose.
Timeframes:
Coaching concentrates primarily
on the present and the future. Coaching does not usually focus on
the past or on the past's impact on the present.
Expertise:
Coaches are experts in the
coaching process. They do not advise, diagnose, direct or design
solutions for the client. The coach makes requests of the client
to promote action towards the client's desired outcome. The client
is fully responsible to take action and the coach acts as a support
and accountability partner.
Use of information:
The information drawn from
the coaching client is used by the coach to promote the client's
awareness and choice of action. This information is not used to
evaluate performance or produce reports for anyone but the person
being coached.
Results:
Coaching is designed to help
clients improve their learning, performance, and enhance their quality
of life personally and/or professionally. The process is meant to
be permanent, based on the habit changing tools used in coaching.
